What Does Yoga in Daily Life Offer Volunteers?- Experience in a positive and dedicated work environment.
- The knowledge that through Yoga in Daily Life’s projects, you are actively working for the goals of: betterment of humankind and our future by fostering health, world peace, humanitarian aid, protection of the environment and all creatures, tolerance, respect and freedom among religions, cultures and nations.
- Respect and recognition from staff members for your valuable contribution in helping to achieve these goals.
- The opportunity to learn new skills.
- The opportunity to participate free of charge in daily Yoga & Meditation classes.
The Australian Association of Yoga in Daily Life asks that Volunteers:- Be committed to the aims and philosophy of Yoga in Daily Life and have an interest in humanitarian, social & environmental issues.
- Be motivated and willing to learn new skills or share your skills with others.
- Be willing to work as part of a team, undertaking your work in a responsible, punctual, dependable, conscientious and courteous way.
- Be able to make a regular commitment of at least two days each week. It's best for us if volunteers can work the same day/s each week.
- Read the Volunteer Policy and agree to volunteer your skills according to that policy.
- Complete and submit the Volunteer Application form. This will provide Yoga in Daily Life knowledge about you, your skills and interests, and when you are available for volunteer work.
- After we have received your completed forms, we will try to match your skills with an area of need within Yoga in Daily Life. We would then like you to come in for a brief interview and orientation.
