What Does Yoga in Daily Life Offer Volunteers?

Experience in a positive and dedicated work environment and the knowledge that through Yoga in Daily Life’s local & international projects one is actively working for the goals of: The betterment of umankind and our future by fostering health, world peace and humanitarian aid.

How does this happen in our organisation? Apart from offering Yoga programs in our full-time centres on a daily basis, qualified Yoga in Daily Life instructors also volunteer their time and skills to various needy or disadvantaged groups, conducting Yoga Exercises, Relaxation and Meditation with the aim of providing an equal opportunity for the enjoyment of optimum physical and mental health. These community classes are given at Homes for the Aged, in Correctional Service Facilities, in Drug & Rehabilitation Centres and also for Senior Citizen Groups, Wheelchair Bound Children and a variety of other individuals and special needs community groups.

However, our Yoga and Meditation classes within the community are just one aspect of Yoga in Daily Life’s function as a humanitarian organisation. The organisation as a whole also has several ongoing humanitarian activities in India that are contributed to by each and every Yoga in Daily Life Centre around the world.

These include:
• Underprivileged Child Education Program
• Village Hospital Project
• Rural Ambulance Service
• Natural Disaster Relief
• Desert Rainwater Harvesting Project

On a regular basis the Yoga in Daily Life Centres worldwide conduct fundraising events to raise much needed funds and community awareness to the plight of others less fortunate in our world, thereby heightening a greater sense of community and harmony amongst the general public. At these events Yoga in Daily Life delights in collaboration with other like-minded organisations such as Amnesty International, the Red Cross, Greenpeace, the Vegetarian Society, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, WSPA, the Cancer Council, Oxfam Community Aid Abroad and others.
Yoga in Daily Life exists specifically to benefit the public and wider global community, upholding the principles of tolerance, respect and understanding regardless of national, religious and cultural differences.
