Over two months, scientists found that those treated with nasal irrigation reported greater improvements than those treated with a spray.
A 2007 study at the University of Michigan USA looked at 121 adults with chronic nasal and sinus problems.
In one independent study in 2008 researchers examined a group of children with severe allergies. They found that regular nasal irrigation with a mild saline solution significantly eased symptoms and helped reduce the need for steroid nasal sprays.

Cleansing and Calming the Mind - Pratipaksha Bhavana
ImagePratipaksha Bhavana is a technique offered by Sage Patanjali as a means of preventing the mind from being agitated and moving from its centre. Pratipaksha means opposite point of view and Bhavana is contemplation or a state of thought. In this practice when a disturbing thought arises the practice is to counter it by consciously bringing to mind its opposite. For example any attitude or thought that settles in the mind that is opposed to positive values such as peacefulness, accommodation, non-injury and similar, can be neutralized by choosing to entertain the opposite point of view.  This practice is best done daily as a means of regularly cleansing the mind, just as taking a shower or bath is our natural way to cleanse the body each day.
