What is Satsang?“There are two paths in life which lead to different destinations – one is Utthan and the other Patan. Utthan means development, achievement, fulfilment. Patan means disaster, destruction, darkness. Both begin from one point, like when we put a seed in the earth then this seed sprouts and two leaves come out. This starting point is known as Sanga – society or company, where we spend our time or whom we are with, our companions. Sat means truth so when we put Sat in front of Sanga, it becomes Satsang, good society which leads to development and achievement. Ku-Sanga means bad society, social illness – drugs, criminal & negative activities. In kusang we learn many bad habits and we acquire negative qualities which will destroy our human life while in Satsang we learn wisdom, we acquire good qualities and inspiration towards realising the aim of our life. Where there is a love there is no distance and if there is no love then even the neighbour’s door is very far away. The teachings of Sri Devpuriji, Sri Deep Mahaprabhuji, Holy Guruji and many other holy saints whom we call realised persons, God-loving hearts, they finally come to this teaching: go to Satsang. Not how you will be more beautiful and healthy, but they give something that will give your body, mind, and consciousness more health, that is Satsang. In Satsang you receive intuition, motivation, and wisdom. That wisdom is like nectar raining on your heart. Lucky are they who can go to Satsang and unlucky are they who don’t go to Satsang. It is said that it doesn’t matter how far, how difficult the path is - never miss Satsang.” - Swamiji Listen to Swamiji talk about Satsang Sri Deep Mahaprabhuji says ‘Oh people! It always feels good to be in Satsang (in the company of truth). Sruti , Saints, the four Vedas and Kathas all sing the praise of Satsang.’ ” - Holy Guruji
