Our Study Pathway

1. Foundation Studies – Practising the Yoga in Daily Life system

Study with Yoga in Daily Life begins with systematic practice of the Yoga in Daily Life system. Our centres around Australia offer a variety of classes and courses to get you started with Yoga and Meditation and support and inspire you to maintain a dedicated practice.

 

2. Yogic Lifestyle & Values – Applying Yoga teachings in daily life

Once you have become established in the core practices of Yoga in Daily Life through a range of our classes and courses we recommend you consider deepening your understanding of the practices and underlying principles by taking part in a variety of learning opportunities and establishing or maintaining a dedicated home practice.  At this level we recommend you participate in the annual lecture and workshop series with Swamiji (the founder of Yoga in Daily Life) and experience more of Swamiji’s teachings through our weekly satsang programs. The Yogic Studies Course offers an overview of the YIDL system and an introduction to Yoga philosophy. The Yogic Lifestyle and Values Course is open to all with an interest in deepening their understanding of the yogic way of life, including those with an interest in Yoga Teacher Training. It is one of the pre-requisites for entry into the Yoga in Daily Life Teacher Training program.

3. Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Meditation Course

For those who wish to explore the yoga philosophy and meditation at a deeper level we offer the Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle & Meditation Course. This program incorporates seven modules of study including a wide range of inspiring topics such as: The Essence of Yoga, Self-Inquiry Meditation, Compassion in Action, With an Open Heart, Your True Nature and Chakras & the Energetics of Practice. These seven modules of study explore yoga’s spiritual principles through practical application. This course is described in detail on pages 9-13 of this document.

 

4. Yoga Teacher Training

The final step in the Yoga in Daily Life formal study pathway is the Yoga Teacher Training Program. This is an option for those who wish to give something back to society through their experience and inspiration from the Yoga in Daily Life system. This course combines the seven modules of the Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle & Meditation Course with eight modules of training in Yoga Teaching Skills. This course is described in detail on pages 14- 24 of this document.
